The project is the work of Roger Dodger director Dylan Kidd, who will produce the movie for CBS Films, according to Variety.
Footloose actor Miles Teller is said to be in negotiations to star in the film, with other potential roles for Kendrick, Cranston, Superbad‘s Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Saturday Night Live‘s Jay Pharaoh, and a potential cameo for Eisenberg, who worked with Kidd on Roger Dodger.
The plot of the film follows a recent college graduate and his group of friends who are forced to lower their expectations of the working world due to the recession.
Kyle Pennekamp and Scott Turpel wrote the original script in 2009, but there is currently no official filming start date.
Twilight actress Kendrick most recently appeared alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 50/50, while Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston will appear in a number of upcoming films, including Total Recall and Rock of Ages.
