I met Anna today! I went to see The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Anna’s interview was a bit awkward, with Craig asking random questions as usual and even asking her to play cards at one point, but Anna held her own and made the most of it. After the show as we were walking out of CBS studios, I spotted her running around, having changed out of her dress for her appearance and in more casual jean capris. I said “Hi, Anna!” as she was heading back inside the dressing room, and told her that I run her fansite. She said that was bananas, and seemed genuinely excited to see me too. She was super nice and even gave me a hug. It’s pretty rewarding having met Anna after being a fan forever (I started the site back in ’07), it was a complete an out of body experience. I wish I said more and unfortunately I couldn’t get a photo with her because they confiscated all cameras and phones before the taping and we hadn’t got ours back yet, but my memory will serve me well!!

Anna Kendrick is ‘obsessed’ with ‘Game of Thrones’.

The ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting’ actress loves to relax in front of the TV watching her favourite show – a fantasy adventure series – which she likes because she finds it ‘really romantic’.

She said: ‘I’m really obsessed with ‘Game of Thrones’. I find it really romantic. I love that it’s epic historical fiction with a supernatural element.’

As well as watching TV, Anna also enjoys cooking and claims her creme brulee dessert is one of her best secrets because it is such an impressive dish.

She told Marie Claire magazine: ‘My best kept-secret. It’s so simple to make, yet people are always so impressed. Vanilla is underrated.’

The ‘Up in the Air’ beauty admitted her fear of crowds means she is unable to do some things she wants, such as seeing singer Azealia Banks perform live.

She said: ‘Azealia was recommended to me by a friend. If I was better at crowds, I’d love to see her live but I’ll probably just be watching online.’ {monstersandcritics.com}

This looks like Anna’s most grown up role yet. She has some super steamy scenes with Jake, including a wedding scene, and it looks like she has a main part in the film – can’t wait!!

Up In the Air‘s Anna Kendrick is living the high life! The 26-year-old actress recently splurged on a brand new Los Angeles home.

Located in the quiet neighborhood of Beachwood Canyon, the “modest” home (at least for Hollywood’s standards) features a wood-burning fireplace, open French doors with patio access, two-car garage, and a state of the art all-white kitchen complete with marble counters and high-grade steel appliances.

According to Real Estalker, Kendrick purchased the home for $1,020,000.

YOUR MAMAS NOTES: It wasn’t so long ago that just about any ol’ reality tee-vee star and/or newly-rich neophyte Tinseltowner regularly (and perhaps foolishly) went out and dropped a couple million bucks on a flashy new house. The tide of that particular celebrity real estate trend has, perhaps, begun to turn as evidenced by the recent acquisition of a modestly sized Los Angeles, CA abode purchased—according to a well-connected source we’ll call Ivana Tellyousomething—for $1,020,000 by young, genuinely talented and cute as a button Oscar-nominated actress Anna Kendrick.

Unlike many young (h)actresses in Hollywood 26-year old Miss Kendrick can actually act and knows how to massage her quirky sense of comedic timing to great effect. At just 12 years old she launched to child stardom with a Tony nomination her Broadway debut in High Society followed a number of years later by a pair of Independent Spirit Award nominations for her silver screen roles in Camp (2004) and Rocket Science (2008). She’s a regular in the supernova-like successful—and presumably lucrative—Twilight Saga film franchise and she received Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations in 2010 for her supporting role in Up In The Air with George Clooney and Vera Farmiga. Listing information for the expanded and completely rehabbed residence, perched above the y-shaped intersection of two quiet cul-de-sacs above Beachwood Canyon, does not indicate square footage but does show the re-conceived two-story structure has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, an attached 2-car garage with additional off-street parking, and a loft-like living area.

Deliciously variegated hickory wood floors run throughout the dwelling that includes an open plan main living space. Get A Job – It was officially announced that Anna will indeed be filming Get A Job, which will be distributed by CBS Films. Anna plays Jillian Stewart, Will’s (Miles Teller) hard-charging girlfriend. Some other new cast members recently joined including Alison Brie and Christopher Mintz-Plasse! The movie starts shooting March 12 in Los Angeles. Here is an article:

Bryan Cranston, Anna Kendrick and Miles Teller will star in CBS Films’ upcoming comedy “Get A Job,” which will co-star Nick Braun, Alison Brie, Brandon T. Jackson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Jay Pharoah, the studio said Wednesday.

Teller (“Project X”) plays Will Davis, who finds his true calling after enduring an entry-level job. Kendrick (“Up in The Air”) plays Jillian Stewart, Will’s hard-charging girlfriend. Cranston (“Breaking Bad”) plays Roger Davis, Will’s father – who is looking for a job at the same time his son is.

Braun (“Prom”), Mintz-Plasse (“Superbad”) and Jackson (“Tropic Thunder”) play Will’s three friends. Brie (“Community”) plays Tanya, one of the group’s sharp-witted co-workers. And Pharoah (“Saturday Night Live”) plays Skeezy D, who starts what he’s sure is a recession-proof business.

“We are making an emotionally honest comedy about the challenges that every generation faces in our rapidly changing world,” director Dylan Kidd said in a statement. “We have assembled an extraordinary cast to make that happen.”
Kyle Pennekamp and Scott Turpel wrote the script. Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher are producing.

The movie is scheduled to begin production on March 12 in Los Angeles.

End of Watch – Collider.com announced that the cop drama has been set for a September 28, 2012 release date. Here is a new synopsis

Anna Kendrick headed down the Independent Spirit Awards 2012 red carpet wearing a 50s inspired, Alexander McQueen floral dress. The Up in the Air star was on point as this happening to applaud the best indie films of the last year was held at the beach.

That beach is in Santa Monica, California, across town from Hollywood and Highland, where the Oscars will take place on Sunday.

But this sandy venue was a world away from that more gussied up affair as the fashionistas showed up in much more casual attire than these celebrities will don come tomorrow’s big day in Tinseltown.

In fact, Anna Kendrick and her cronies were all set for a fun day in the sun as the Twilight actress and her contemporaries–including Jessica Chastain, Elizabeth Banks, and Kate Beckinsale–take part in the festivities for the 2012 Independent Film Awards hosted by Seth Rogan, a newcomer to this sort of presenting duty…. {huliq.com}
