The Company You Keep trailer is out! You can see Anna as Diana, a federal worker at the 1.10 mark:

Anna is in more Modern Luxury mags across the country, including Jezebel in Atlanta, Riviera in Orange County, and Manhattan Magazine. While the interview identical to the new one in Angeleno, the images used for the covers are previously unseen. There are also two gorgeous new portraits from John Russo’s new shoot!

New Featurette from Pitch Perfect with Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow & Rebel Wilson

Oscar-nominee Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air) returns to the big screen this autumn in Pitch Perfect, which promises to be the best musical-comedy of the year.

The first trailer debuted earlier this summer, giving us a great impression of a film not taking itself too seriously, and just having fun with the music – exactly what musical-comedies should be doing, in my books – and now Apple have debuted a new featurette, giving us A Look Inside.

“Beca is that girl who’d rather listen to what’s coming out of her headphones than what’s coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together.

When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college “a cappella.” This could wind up either the coolest thing they’ll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a little of both.”

Starring alongside Kendrick in the lead will be a great supporting cast, headed up by Brittany Snow (John Tucker Must Die), Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids), Alexis Knapp (Project X), Adam DeVine (Workaholics), and John Michael Higgins (Yes Man), with the excellent Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) producing, who makes a nice appearance here behind the scenes.

Avenue Q’s John Moore (One Tree Hill) makes his feature directorial debut, with a script from Kay Cannon (30 Rock), adapting Mickey Rapkin’s original book.

Pitch Perfect will be hitting theatres in the US on 5th October, followed by a UK release on 19th October. I can’t wait. In the meantime, enjoy this new featurette. (I’m still loving the mini a cappella version of David Guetta’s Titanium (feat. Sia).) {}

I’ve added new promotional images and stills from Pitch Perfect. You can also win tickets to see an early release and other prizes at the updated official website,

END OF WATCHI found a new HQ still of Anna and on-screen beau Jake Gyllenhaal. The red band and international trailer have also recently been released.

Sony Pictures Classics has announced it will release The Company You Keep, starring Anna and Shia Lebeauf:

Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all US Rights to Robert Redford’s The Company You Keep. Redford, who directed and produced the film, also stars alongside Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Brendan Gleeson, Terence Howard, Richard Jenkins, Anna Kendrick, Brit Marling, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Chris Cooper, and Susan Sarandon. Additional producers include Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker), and Bill Holderman (The Conspirator).

Redford also worked on the film with Director of Photography Adriano Goldman (Jane Eyre, Sin Nombre), Composer Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic), Editor Mark Day (“Harry Potter” films) and Production Designer Laurence Bennett (The Artist, Crash).

A thriller centered on a former Weather Underground activist who goes on the run from a journalist who has discovered his identity, The Company You Keep will premiere Out of Competition at the Venice Film Festival and at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The Company You Keep was financed by Voltage Pictures, who is also the international sales agent on the film.

“Robert Redford’s film is classic storytelling at its best and we are really looking forward to bringing the film to the American audience,” states Sony Pictures Classics.

“I’ve known Tom and Michael for many years. I have great respect for what they do and how they do it. So it’s a pleasant connection,” adds Redford. {}

Anna Kendrick in 'ParaNorman' Interview on Buzzine.comAnna Kendrick

Emmanuel Itier: This is your first time in an animated movie. Obviously the techniques are different, but what did you notice specifically about your approach to an animated film versus live action?

Anna Kendrick: I actually found the process of recording just a voice surprisingly liberating. I thought it would be a hindrance to not have my face and my body to put things across. But actually I had much less problem really going for things and embarrassing myself. I found that to be really quite freeing – that it really only helped the finished product to just kind of let go and know that you looked really foolish. But then it did not matter because no one was going to see it.

EI: There are so many sides to ParaNorman that set it apart from other animated movies. What was the main attraction for you to get involved with this project?

AK: To be perfectly honest, I really did want to do an animated film. I have always wanted to. I was ready to just kind of pounce on the opportunity when it came up. Then, it turned out to be this really kind of special project that it is stop-motion.

Also, just that it is funny, and scary. It has all this heart. I don’t even really think of it as a horror movie. I think of it as kind of an adventure movie. Because I love when this group of kids kind of has to band together and save the proverbial day. Those were my favorite kind of movies when I was a kid; Those, ‘kids on an adventure movies’…

EI: That humor and heart all ties in together with Norman’s story. Were there any themes that stood out in particular to you?
AK: Yeah, I mean, I was actually surprised when I saw the finished film. How much of it is really about family. The way that it all kind of wraps up, and the way that the family has to kind of rally around the black sheep of the family I think is really lovely. That was certainly in the script. But when I saw the finished film, that theme really resonates, I think.

EI: Fans had been counting down the days until ParaNorman’s release. What do you think it is about this particular style of animation that resonates so much with its audience?

AK: I feel like when you look at stop-motion you can just feel the love that these animators have for the characters. They kind of lived with them for so long. I know that is true of traditional animation as well. But, it is…

…They are a very strange, very lovable and geeky group of people who are so passionate about this particular art form. I feel like it really comes across how much love they put into these inanimate objects. How they think of them as characters with the life of their own and not just objects.

Gossip column Page Six of the New York Post is reporting that Anna is a contender for the female lead in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”. This would be awesome if Anna got it, I know she’s wanted to do a superhero moviefor a while:

Marvel added Anthony Mackie to its superhero sequel “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” last month, and sources say the studio’s now focusing on casting the film’s female lead. Hollywood insiders tell us that current front-runners for the coveted role include “The Twilight Saga” star Anna Kendrick, as well as Felicity Jones, who reportedly lost out to Keira Knightley for the lead in Paramount’s untitled Jack Ryan reboot. Imogen Poots, who’s filming Terrence Malick’s “Knight of Cups,” is also in the running, we’re told. Joe and Anthony Russo are directing the “Captain America” sequel, and have hinted they’ll go with a “darker, edgier” tone for the film, which isn’t scheduled to hit theaters till 2014. Chris Evans is returning as the Captain, while Sebastian Stan is coming back as character Bucky Barnes from the first movie — but he’ll reportedly turn into a villain for “Winter Soldier.” Last year, “Captain America: The First Avenger” raked in $368 million worldwide before Evans took his character to Marvel’s even bigger “The Avengers.” {}
