Last 5 Years Set – June 21

Here are some new photos of Anna on the set of The Last 5 Years in New York City on June 21st. She posed with some fans before heading up to film a rooftop scene. I think Anna’s wardrobe in this film is my favorite of her film styles yet – gorgeous :D!

Anna Kendrick is all smiles as she arrives on set to film The Last 5 Years on Friday afternoon (June 21) in New York City.

The 27-year-old actress happily stopped to pose for pictures with her waiting fans before heading to shoot a rooftop scene

“Rooftop filming. Can’t complain. (Kudos to the people who actually live here. Thanks for letting the riffraff come and play),” the actress captioned a beautiful photo of her view from set on Instagram.

The next day, Anna posted a cute photo of herself enjoying a day in the sun alongside the New York City skyline.

Projects Update: Comedy Bang Bang!

As we reported, Anna will guest star in Comedy Bang Bang! in Season 2. Anna’s episode as of now titled “Anna Kendrick Wears a Patterned Blouse & Burgundy Pants”, will air on July 26th on IFC. I’ve added 3 good quality stills of Anna apparently ‘getting very close to drunk’ to the gallery.

When Comedy Bang! Bang! returns to IFC on July 12, Andy Samberg drops by for a delightful chat with host Scott Aukerman. Well, maybe not so much delightful as… DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS! As you will see in the video below, something starts to smell funny when Aukerman asks the former Saturday Night Live star a rather pungent question.

Of course, Samberg, who headlines Fox’s fall comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, isn’t the only celebrity who will pop up this season on the off-beat series that dares to laugh in the face of the typical late-night talk show. Jessica Alba, Aziz Ansari, Jim Gaffigan, Bill Hader, Paul Reubens, Rashida Jones, Sarah Silverman, and Adam Scott, among others, will be comically cavorting with Aukerman and co-host Reggie Watts. “You can tune in to see Anna Kendrick get very close to drunk on the air,” says Aukerman. “You can tune in to see Zoe Saldana arrested by a police officer in the middle of an interview. You can tune in to see Casey Wilson embrace her passion for musical theater. You can tune in to see a big [Mr. Show] reunion of David Cross and Bob Odenkirk doing a sketch together. And you can tune into see Zack Galifianakis as a jolly fat man who also happens to be Santa Claus.”

Enough about the guests — what about some Scott scoop? “I have a huge emotional arc this season,” Aukerman deadpans. “Sharp-eyed viewers will notice me asking a certain question almost every episode to our guests, and by the end of the season I finally get my answer…. You also will learn the story of how Reggie and I first met. It involves Cobie Smulders and it was all filmed, so that really works out for people wanting to watch it.”

‘Comedy Bang Bang’ Season 2 Will Break Some Sort of Guest Star Record

Scott Aukerman’s IFC show Comedy Bang Bang is set to return for it’s second season in July, and it looks like Season 2 will have even more guest stars than Season 1. If there is a “Most Guest Stars in a TV Show Season” world record, Scott Aukerman is gunning for it. Here’s a list of everyone IFC announced will be on the show this morning:

Jessica Alba, Aziz Ansari, David Cross, Jim Gaffigan, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Pee-wee Herman, Gillian Jacobs, Rashida Jones, Anna Kendrick, Andy Richter, Zoe Saldana, Andy Samberg, Jason Schwartzman, Sarah Silverman, Cobie Smulders, and Casey Wilson. Additional guests include James Adomian, Matt Besser, Michael Ian Black, Selma Blair, Aidy Bryant, Andy Daly, Adam DeVine, Nat Faxon, Dave Foley, Will Forte, Tony Hale, Chris Hardwick, Rob Huebel, Nick Kroll, Phil LaMarr, Thomas Lennon, John Carroll Lynch Jason Mantzoukas, Jack McBrayer, Tim Meadows, Christopher Meloni , Bobby Moynihan, Bob Odenkirk, Adam Pally, Jimmy Pardo, Jordan Peele, Jim Rash, Lance Reddick, Horatio Sanz, Kristen Schaal, Ben Schwartz, Adam Scott, Lynne Marie Stewart, Dave Thomas, Paul F. Tompkins, Joe Lo Truglio, Matt Walsh, Michaela Watkins, Zach Woods, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Cedric Yarbrough

IFC’s press release this morning also featured a solid Scott Aukerman quote (“I haven’t been this excited since I wrote my press release quote for season one”) and some details on when the new season will air. Season 2 will consist of 20 episodes, broken up into two chunks of ten. The first half will air from July 12th to September 13th, with the second guest star-filled half starting October 18th.

Projects Update: Into the Woods

Into the Woods, a musical which Anna was rumored to have a lead part in weeks ago, now has buzz circulating that she is in talks to play Cinderella!

Anna Kendrick in Talks to Be Cinderella in Musical ‘Into the Woods’

The Rob Marshall-directed film already includes Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, Chris Pine and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Anna Kendrick might tackle a singing role for Disney. The “Pitch Perfect” actress enters negotiations to be involved in the production of “Into the Woods”, the feature adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway hit. Oscar-nominated Kendrick is expected to take on the role as lovely Cinderella.

The Hollywood Reporter provides details about how Cinderella is going to fit in the plot. In Rob Marshall’s upcoming movie, Cinderella is married to a vain prince, played by “Star Trek Into Darkness” actor Chris Pine. The girl with the glass slipper is also described as a woman who tries to find her place in the world.

If Kendrick eventually agrees to come aboard, she will be added to the starry cast, which already has Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Corsden and Tracy Ullman. Besides Anna, Deadline learns that “Les Miserables” actor Daniel Huttlestone is also in talks to join the production.

“Into the Woods” will follow a baker (Corsden) and his wife (Blunt) as they embark on a journey into the woods to find a witch (Streep) who put a spell on them.

Marshall will direct the flick based on screenplay by James Lapine. John DeLuca is set to serve as producer.

Kendrick is currently shooting “The Last 5 Years”, Richard LaGravenese’s adaptation of Jason Robert Brown-written musical.

Anna Kendrick In Talks To Join Into The Woods

Anna Kendrick is in talks for a coveted role.

According to Variety, the “Pitch Perfect” star, 27, is being considered to play Cinderella in Disney’s upcoming musical, “Into the Woods.”

The actress Tweeted about the casting report late Friday, when “Looper” writer Rian Johnson Tweeted Anna the link to the story with the comment, “Congrats! :-) Don’t f**k it up! :-)) Or I’ll murder you! ;-) Literally! :-|”

Anna – known for her humorous, witty Tweets – replied, “If I f**k it up I’ll do the job for you! :-) I’ll meet you at the Golden Gate Bridge ;-) You bring some rope! haha :-|”

If the actress (who has already proven her musical ability in “Pitch Perfect” and the resulting solo hit, “Cups”) does sign on for the film, she’ll join an impressive cast.

Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt have inked deals to star in the film, a big screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s 1987 Broadway hit, while Chris Pine, Jake Gyllenhaal and more are reportedly in various stages of negotiations to sign on.

“Into the Woods” is slated for release on Christmas Day, 2014, and will be directed by Rob Marshall (“Chicago,” “Nine”).
