Twilight’s Anna Kendrick Hearts Harry Potter
Anna Kendrick may star as the fun, fast-talking friend Jessica in The Twilight Saga, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have eyes for another supernatural movie series.
Last night, when the trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiered, Anna tweeted: “Deathly Hallows trailer online in 30! …………wait, what? NO, I didn’t say that, that would be so dorky…………. *squeee*”
And she followed that with another tweet after watching it. “HP7 trailer = That. Was. Awesome. It would be really awkward if I bought a ticket to Eclipse just to see that on the big screen, right?”
Ha! We say buy that ticket for your own movie to see the trailer on the big screen, Anna! (How cool would it be to see Anna in your theater?! Just don’t bother her during the HP trailer! )
Leave it up to Anna to bring together the wizarding and vampire/werewolf worlds!
Anna Kendrick’s “life goal” is to learn how to play pool
The Hollywood actress has seen her career soar in recent months, thanks to starring roles in Up in the Air, alongside George Clooney, and the Twilight film franchise. Although she is enjoying her job, Anna still has some things she wants to accomplish in life. Top of the list is to learn how to play the popular cue sport, because she thinks it looks so fun.
“I really want to learn to play pool,” Anna is quoted as saying. “I don’t want to be one of those chicks in a bar that you know, needs her boyfriend to set up a shot for her. So that’s a life goal for me.”
Pool is also known as pocket billiards. Players take turns to line-up shots, with the winner being the person who manages to pocket all their balls first.
Kendrick Praises Awards Rival Mo’nique
ANNA KENDRICK refused to be disheartened after failing to win any major acting accolades at this year’s (10) glitzy awards ceremonies – because she was delighted to see rival MO’NIQUE win a huge haul for her “humbling” turn in PRECIOUS.
The two stars went head to head for the Best Supporting Actress trophy several times earlier this year (10), at film events including the Golden Globes, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards and the Oscars.
Kendrick’s role in Up In The Air failed to land her any of the coveted awards, while Mo’Nique swept the board at most of the major ceremonies for her turn in Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.
But the Twilight actress refuses to hold a grudge.
She says, “There’s no way of saying this that doesn’t make it sound like I’m just trying to be polite but Mo’Nique gave such a humbling performance, that to see her win again and again didn’t make me feel bad at all.
“In a way, it took a lot of the pressure off because I didn’t feel that I was losing to a performance I didn’t admire. And I know it sounds cheesy, but it really was a dream come true to be at the Oscars – I never thought I’d get to be there.”
